LIGHTING SYSTEM


  1. FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENTS

    Component Function
    Main Body ECU (Multiplex Network Body ECU) Receives various signals and turns off the exterior lights.

    Brake Actuator Assembly


    • Skid Control ECU

    Transmits the vehicle speed signal to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).
    Semiconductor PWR Integration ECU Shuts down power to the headlights, daytime running lights and front fog lights.

    Instrument Panel Junction Block Assembly


    • TAIL Relay

    Shuts down power to the taillights, clearance lights and license plate lights.
    Rear Fog Light Relay*1 Shuts down power to the rear fog lights.

    Headlight Dimmer Switch Assembly


    • Light Control Switch

    Outputs a light control switch position signal to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).
    Front Door Courtesy Light Switch Assembly (RH)*2 Detects whether a door is open or closed and transmits a signal to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).

  2. SYSTEM CONTROL


    1. The light auto turn-off system operates as follows:

      Models for Russia
      Function Operation Condition
      Headlight or Front Fog Light Auto Turn-off

      When all of the following conditions are met, the headlights or front fog lights automatically turn off:


      • The ignition switch is turned from ON to off.

      • The light control switch is in the tail or head position.

      • The vehicle speed is less than 10 km/h (6 mph).

      When all of the following conditions are met, the headlights or front fog lights automatically turn off:


      • The ignition switch is turned from ON to off.

      • The light control switch is in the tail or head position.

      • The driver door is closed and then opened.

      Exterior Light Auto Turn-off

      When all of the following conditions are met, the exterior lights automatically turn off:


      • The ignition switch is turned off.

      • The light control switch is in the AUTO position.

      • The vehicle speed is less than 10 km/h (6 mph).

      When all of the following conditions are met, the exterior lights automatically turn off:


      • The ignition switch is turned off.

      • The light control switch is in the AUTO position.

      • The driver door is closed and then opened.

      Driver Door-linked Function

      When all of the following conditions are met, the exterior lights automatically turn off:


      • The ignition switch is turned from ON to off.

      • The light control switch is in the tail position.

      • The driver door is closed and then opened.

      Delay Function

      When all of the following conditions are met, the exterior lights automatically turn off after 30 seconds:


      • The ignition switch is turned from ON to off.

      • The low beam headlights are on (light control switch is in the head or AUTO position).

      • All doors are closed after any of the doors are opened.

      Key-linked Function

      When the delay function is active and the following condition is met, the exterior lights turn off immediately:


      • The lock button on the key is pushed after all doors are locked.
