LIGHTING SYSTEM

  1. FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENTS

    1. The main components in the illuminated entry system have the following functions:

      Component Function
Front Door Courtesy Light Switch Assembly (LH/RH) Detects whether the doors are open or closed and sends this information to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).
Rear Door Courtesy Light Switch Assembly (LH/RH)
Back Door Lock Assembly Courtesy Light Switch
Back Window Lock Assembly*1 Courtesy Light Switch
Front Door Lock with Motor Assembly LH/RH Door Unlock Detection Switch Detects whether the doors are locked or unlocked and sends this information to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).
Rear Door Lock with Motor Assembly LH/RH Door Unlock Detection Switch
      Door Control Receiver
      • Receives the ID code from the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly and transmits it to the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly).*2

      • Receives the lock or unlock signal from the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly*2 or door control transmitter assembly*3 and transmits it to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).

Certification ECU (Smart Key ECU Assembly)*2
      • Judges the ID code from the door control receiver and sends the verification result to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).

      • Receives the engine switch on (IG) status from the engine switch and transmits it to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).

Main Body ECU (Multiplex Network Body ECU) Turns on or off each light using signals from each switch and the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly)*2.
