OUTLINE
Lightweight and Highly Rigid Body
High-strength steel, ultra high-tensile strength steel, hot-stamped steel and aluminum are used in order to achieve excellent body rigidity and a lightweight body.
Safety Features
The impact absorbing structure minimizes cabin deformation by effectively helping to absorb the impact energy in the event of a front, side or rear collision. This provides high performance occupant protection.
Rust-resistant Body
Rust-resistant performance is enhanced by the extensive use of anti-corrosion sheet steel and aluminum as well as by an anti-corrosion treatment that includes the application of anti-rust wax and sealer to easily corroded parts such as the lower edge portion of the doors, the door hinge, the fuel filler lid hinge, and the hemmed portions of the hood panel.
Low Vibration and Low Noise Body
Effective application of vibration damping and noise suppressant materials reduces engine, wind and road noise.
Aerodynamics
Optimization of the shape of the body and underfloor ensures excellent aerodynamic performance.
MAIN FEATURES
Exterior Design
Front View
The shapes of the fins provided on both ends of the front bumper realize both excellent handling stability and a wide and low stance.
The contrast between the volume of the large, spindle-shaped center grill and the aerodynamically designed sides of the bumper expresses the functional beauty of the "F" design.
The distinctive triple L-shaped LED headlights are paired with L-shaped daytime running lights, giving a futuristic appearance while also reinforcing the brand image.
For the radiator grille lower molding, which contributes to downforce, CFRP (Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic) has been adopted, achieving both improved airflow performance and reduced weight.
The mesh-type spindle grille (radiator grille and front bumper extension) adopts an L-shaped mesh pattern that gradually transitions to an F-shaped mesh pattern toward the bottom of the grille, providing chipping protection while at the same time promoting a sporty image.
Side View
The top of the front fender is given a sharp, low stance, and together with the strongly projecting front flares, provides a powerful hood silhouette emphasizing the power of the V8 engine to create high-performance appeal.
In addition to giving a dynamic impression, the combination of large "F" shaped air vents provided at the rear of the front fender and strongly outward-projecting body rocker panel molding also increases handling stability and aerodynamic performance.
Rear View
Expressing the symbolic "F" concept, a diagonally arranged quad tip exhaust diffuser has been provided. Along with the rear bumper lower garnish, this contributes to the wide and low stance.
For the rear spoiler assembly, which contributes to downforce, CFRP (Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic) has been adopted, achieving both improved airflow performance and reduced weight.
The shapes of the fins at the bottom of the rear bumper lower garnish have been optimized for aerodynamic performance, and dark metallic black coloration has been adopted for the tips in order to express a feeling of wideness.
