LIGHTING SYSTEM


  1. FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENTS

    Component Function
    Main Body ECU (Multiplex Network Body ECU) Receives various signals and illuminates the daytime running lights.

    Headlight Dimmer Switch Assembly


    • Light Control Switch

    		 Outputs a light control switch position signal to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).
    ECM The ECM sends a vehicle information signal via the CAN communication.
    Parking Brake ECU Assembly Outputs a parking brake operation signal to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).

  2. SYSTEM CONTROL


    1. Operating Condition


      1. The daytime running lights illuminate when the following conditions are met.


        • The engine switch is on (IG).

        • The engine speed signal is input (engine is running).

        • The headlight dimmer switch assembly is in the off*1 or AUTO position (and the taillights are not turned on via the automatic light control system).

        • The front turn signal light or hazard warning signal light is turned off*2.

        • The parking brake is off.


          • *1: Models with light control switch (off position)

          • *2: Except destination package for Korea
