SYSTEM CONTROL
Front Seat Heater System
When the front seat heater switch is turned on, the air conditioning amplifier assembly detects the set temperature via the switch and the seat surface temperature via the thermistor equipped in the front seat cushion heater to supply electrical current that is based on certain conditions, adjusting the seat surface temperature to the set temperature. Also, when the seat surface temperature reaches approximately 45°C (113°F) [Hi], 40°C (104°F) [Mid] or 35°C (95°F) [Lo], the air conditioning amplifier assembly blocks the flow of electrical current to the front seat heater. Later, when the seat surface temperature reaches approximately 44°C (111°F) [Hi], 39°C (102°F) [Mid] or 34°C (93°F) [Lo], the air conditioning amplifier assembly resumes the supply of electrical current.
When the engine switch is turned off while the front seat heater is in operation, the operation starting status of the front seat heater may vary depending on the time until the engine switch is turned on (IG) again.
If less than 15 minutes have elapsed, the operation status of the front seat heater when the engine switch was turned off will be maintained.
If 15 minutes or more have elapsed, the front seat heater starts operating from Hi.
| Operation Status When Engine Switch Turned Off | Operation Starting Status after Engine Switch Turned On (IG) Again | |
| Less than 15 minutes elapsed | 15 minutes or more elapsed | |
| Hi | Hi | Hi |
| Mid | Mid | |
| Lo | Lo | |
When the automatic control function is controlling the front seat heater system, the temperature of the front seat heater is automatically adjusted in 6 stages (off, Lo 1, Lo 2, Mid 1, Mid 2 and Hi) according to the outside temperature and front air conditioning target airflow temperature.
Rear Seat Heater System
When the rear seat heater switch is turned on, the air conditioning amplifier assembly detects the set temperature via the switch and the seat surface temperature via the thermistor equipped in the rear seat cushion heater to supply electrical current that is based on certain conditions, adjusting the seat surface temperature to the set temperature. Also, when the seat surface temperature reaches approximately 43°C (109°F) [Hi], 38°C (100°F) [Mid] or 33°C (91°F) [Lo], the air conditioning amplifier assembly blocks the flow of electrical current to the rear seat heater. Later, when the seat surface temperature reaches approximately 42°C (108°F) [Hi], 37°C (99°F) [Mid] or 32°C (90°F) [Lo], the air conditioning amplifier assembly resumes the supply of electrical current.
When the engine switch is turned off while the rear seat heater is in operation, the operation starting status of the rear seat heater may vary depending on the time until the engine switch is turned on (IG) again.
If less than 15 minutes have elapsed, the operation status of the rear seat heater when the engine switch was turned off will be maintained.
If 15 minutes or more have elapsed, the rear seat heater starts operating from Hi.

When the automatic control function is controlling the rear seat heater system, the temperature of the rear seat heater is automatically adjusted in 6 stages (off, Lo 1, Lo 2, Mid 1, Mid 2 and Hi) according to the outside temperature and rear air conditioning target airflow temperature.
