OUTLINE
The following brake control functions are provided: Anti-lock Brake System (ABS), Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist, Traction Control (TRC), Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), steering cooperative control and Hill-start Assist Control.
The Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management (VDIM) is used.
A VSC OFF switch is used.
An emergency brake signal is used. This signal is provided to indicate that strong braking is being performed by the driver.
MAIN FEATURES
Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management (VDIM)
In contrast to the ABS, TRC and VSC functions that were controlled individually in the conventional brake control system, the VDIM manages these functions in the form of an integrated system.
Furthermore, the VDIM performs cooperative control together with the Electric Power Steering (EPS) system in order to improve the dynamic performance of the vehicle to "run, turn and stop".
When expert mode is selected, it is possible to drive in a more sporty manner than other drive modes. Expert mode disables the TRC and VSC systems but the engine and brakes may be controlled depending on the vehicle behavior.

PRECAUTION
When a brake control system is activated, the brake pedal may shudder, which is a normal occurrence of the system in operation and should not be considered a malfunction.
The TRC and VSC functions control brake hydraulic pressure and engine output to ensure vehicle stability. Therefore, the VSC OFF switch (to stop the operation of the TRC and VSC functions) should be operated only when it is necessary.
