  1. FUNCTION


    1. Cooling fan operation is controlled to achieve an optimal fan speed in accordance with the engine coolant temperature, vehicle speed, engine speed and air conditioning operating conditions.

    2. The ECM activates the cooling fan relay to control the cooling fan in accordance with the engine coolant temperature, air conditioning condition, engine speed and vehicle speed.

    3. The cooling fan speed is controlled in 2 stages: low speed (series connection) and high speed (parallel connection).

    4. After the engine is stopped (the ignition switch is off*1 or the engine switch is off*2), the ECM operates the cooling fan at low speed for a maximum of 380 seconds according to the driving conditions and engine condition to lower the temperature inside the engine compartment.
