LIGHTING SYSTEM


  1. FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENTS


    1. The main components in the illuminated entry system have the following functions:

      Component Function
      Front Door Courtesy Light Switch Assembly (LH/RH) Detects whether the doors are open or closed and sends this information to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).
      Rear Door Courtesy Light Switch Assembly (LH/RH)
      Front Door Lock Assembly LH/RH Detects whether the doors are locked or unlocked and sends this information to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).
      Rear Door Lock Assembly LH/RH
      Door Control Receiver Receives the ID code from the key and transmits it to the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly).
      Certification ECU (Smart Key ECU Assembly)
      • Judges the ID code from the door control receiver and sends the verification result to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).

      • Receives the power switch on (IG) status from the power switch and transmits it to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).

      Main Body ECU (Multiplex Network Body ECU) Turns on or off each light using signals from each switch and the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly).
  2. FUNCTION


    1. The illuminated entry system has the following functions:

      Function Outline Lights that Operate
      Actuation Area-linked
      • When a registered key enters any actuation area around the doors, the lights that operate turn on.

      • When a registered key leaves all of the actuation areas around the doors, the lights that operate turn off.


      • Power Switch Illumination

      • Map Light Assembly

      • Dome Light (No. 1 Room Light Assembly)*1

      Door Lock/Unlock-linked
      • When any door is unlocked, the lights that operate turn on.

      • When all doors are locked, the lights that operate turn off.


      • Power Switch Illumination

      • Map Light Assembly

      • Dome Light (No. 1 Room Light Assembly)*1

      Door Open/Close-linked
      • When any door is opened, the lights that operate turn on.

      • When all doors are closed, the lights that operate turn off.


      • Power Switch Illumination

      • Map Light Assembly

      • Dome Light (No. 1 Room Light Assembly)*1

      Power Switch (Push Start Switch)-linked
      • When the power switch is changed from off to on (ACC) or on (IG), the lights that operate turn off.

      • When the power switch is changed from on (IG) to off, the lights that operate turn on.

      • Dome Light (No. 1 Room Light Assembly)*1

      Delay

      When approximately 15 seconds elapse after any of the following conditions is met, the lights that operate turn off:


      • An actuation area-linked function is used.

      • The door unlock-linked function is active.

      • Any door is opened and then all doors are closed when the power switch is off.

      • Dome Light (No. 1 Room Light Assembly)*1

      Battery Saving
      • When 20 minutes elapse after the power switch is turned from on (ACC) and on (IG) to off and the lights that operate remain on, the lights are turned off.

      • Battery saving control is canceled when any of the following operations is performed before the lights are turned off by battery saving control. After the operation is performed, the lights remain on for another 20 minutes and then the lights are turned off.


        • The power switch is on (ACC) or on (IG)

        • Any door is opened

        • The back door is opened

        • Any door is unlocked

        • The key enters any exterior actuation area
