  1. OUTLINE


    1. This lubrication method uses a full pressure-feeding and full filtration system using the oil pump.

    2. Engine oil pressure-fed to the top of the cylinder head sub-assembly flows through the oil return hole provided on the cylinder head sub-assembly or the inside of the timing chain cover assembly and returns to the oil pan sub-assembly.

    3. The Variable Valve Timing-intelligent Wide (VVT-iW) and Variable Valve Timing-intelligent (VVT-i) systems are used. These systems are operated by the engine oil.

    4. A piston jet control system is used to control the injection and stop of engine oil from the piston jets.

    5. An oil pressure switching valve assembly for piston jet control system and relief valve are provided for the oil pump relief valve housing assembly.

    6. 2 separate oil galleries in the cylinder block sub-assembly, a main oil gallery for the crank journal oil passage and a sub oil gallery for the piston oil jet oil passage, are used.
