CONSTRUCTION
The intercooler assembly is installed on top of the engine to reduce the length of the intake air path between the turbocharger sub-assembly and the cylinder head sub-assembly. This has reduced the intake air volume after the turbocharger sub-assembly and the pressure loss, enhancing acceleration response.
A water-cooled type intercooler assembly is used to improve cooling efficiency and achieve size reduction.
An inner fin is used in the engine coolant path to improve the cooling efficiency of the intercooler assembly.
