  1. OUTLINE


    1. In the common-rail system, highly pressurized fuel supplied by the supply pump is stored in the common-rail assembly.The ECM sends signals to the injectors by way of the injector driver in order to control the fuel injection timing and injection volume.

    2. An HP3 type supply pump, which is compact and lightweight, is used.

    3. Piezo type injectors are used.

    4. An injector compensation value and a Quick Response (QR) code are printed on the injector to achieve high-precision control.

    5. Quick connectors are used to connect the fuel pipe with the fuel hose for excellent serviceability.

    6. On models with the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) catalyst, the exhaust fuel addition injector has been added for catalyst support control. The fuel outlet for the exhaust fuel addition injector has been added to the supply pump. For details on the exhaust addition injector, see the Emission Control System section.

    7. A multiplex layered plastic fuel tank assembly is used for weight reduction.

    8. A fuel filter with fuel heater is used.
