  1. OUTLINE


    1. A combination meter assembly, which has either a segment Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) type multi-information display or dot Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) type multi-information display, is provided.

    2. A dot LCD type multi-information display, which has either a monochrome Thin Film Transistor (TFT) type or color Thin Film Transistor (TFT) type, is provided.

    3. The combination meter assembly has a built-in meter ECU and buzzer.

    1. Opening/Ending Ceremony


      1. A combination meter assembly with a monochrome dot LCD type multi-information display shows a welcome message when the ignition switch is turned to ON and shows a farewell message when the ignition switch is turned off.

      2. A combination meter assembly with a color dot LCD type multi-information display shows an opening/ending ceremony which allows for anticipation of a pleasant drive is used. The ceremony operates as follows:


        1. When the ignition switch is turned to ON, the multi-information display illuminates.

        2. Then, the gauges and panels of the speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge and engine coolant temperature gauge illuminate.

        3. When the ignition switch is turned off, all the illuminations turn off.

        4. After a short time, the multi-information display turns off.

    2. Multi-information Display


      1. The segment LCD type multi-information display shows the following information:

        Item Outline
        Outside Temperature The outside temperature is displayed.
        Shift Position Indicator*1 The current shift position is displayed.
        Engine Coolant Temperature The engine coolant temperature is displayed using 9 segments.
        Eco Driving Indicator Zone Display*1

        • The Eco driving state is displayed by the position of the bar on the Eco driving indicator zone display after comparing the current acceleration to acceleration which is within the Eco driving range.

        • The Eco driving indicator zone display and average fuel consumption display are displayed simultaneously.

        • The Eco driving indicator zone display changes to the engine coolant temperature bar display automatically if the engine is overheating.
        Cruise Information

        The following information items can be displayed. The item shown can be changed by pressing the ODO/TRIP DISP switch or DISP switch of the steering pad switch assembly*2.


        • Odometer

        • Trip Meter A

        • Trip Meter B

        • Stop and Start Operation Time after Engine Start-up*3

        • Total Stop and Start Operation time*3

        • Average Fuel Consumption

        • Cruising Range

        • Meter Panel Luminance Adjustment Mode*4
        Speed Limiter Control System Information*5 The limit speed is displayed when a limit speed is set.
        Meter Panel Luminance Adjustment Meter panel luminance when the taillights are on can be changed by pressing and holding the ODO/TRIP DISP switch or DISP switch of the steering pad switch assembly*2.
        Customization*1 Pressing and holding the ODO/TRIP DISP switch or DISP switch of the steering pad switch assembly*2 when the odometer is displayed changes the display to customization display.

      2. The monochrome dot LCD type multi-information display shows the following information:

        Outside Temperature

        • The outside temperature is displayed.

        • When the outside temperature drops below 3°C (37°F), a warning sign is displayed on the outside temperature display area to warn the driver to drive with caution due to icy road conditions. After the warning sign flashes 10 times, the sign stays on. When the temperature reaches 5°C (41°F), the warning sign goes off.*1
        Shift Position Indicator*2 The current shift position is displayed.
        Gear Shift Indicator*3 Timing of the shift change recommendations is displayed.

        • ODO/TRIP Meter

        • Stop and Start Operation Time After Engine Start-up*4

        • Total Stop and Start Operation Time*4

        • Meter Panel Luminance Adjustment*5

        • The odometer, trip meter A, trip meter B, stop and start operation time after engine start-up*4, total stop and start operation time*4 and meter panel luminance adjustment mode display are displayed.

        • The item shown can be switched by pressing the ODO/TRIP switch.
        Cruise Information

        The following information items can be displayed. The item shown can be switched by pressing the DISP switch.


        • Average Fuel Consumption/Instantaneous Fuel Consumption

        • Cruising Range

        • Average Vehicle Speed after Engine Start-up

        • Driving Time after Engine Start-up

        • Average Fuel Consumption/Eco Driving Indicator Zone Display*2
        Indicator

        When the indicator illumination conditions are met, the indicator lights are displayed on the multi-information display.

        Warning Message A warning display will interrupt the multi-information display immediately when a warning occurs.

        • Meter panel luminance when the taillights are on can be changed.

        • Pressing and holding the ODO/TRIP switch during meter panel luminance adjustment mode enables the user to change the meter panel luminance.

      3. The color dot LCD type multi-information display shows the following information:
