OUTLINE
A vehicle speed sensing type Electric Power Steering (EPS) system is used.
This system generates assist torque using a power steering motor assembly and a reduction mechanism mounted on the steering column assembly to assist the driver's steering.
Electric load control is used. This control prevents the assist torque from rapidly decreasing when the battery voltage decreases.
A rack and pinion type steering gear assembly is used.
The power steering motor assembly is integrated into the power steering ECU assembly.
