  1. OUTLINE


    1. The 1ZR-FAE engine is a 1.6-liter, 16-valve DOHC, in-line 4-cylinder gasoline engine.

    2. This engine uses the VALVEMATIC system, Dual Variable Valve Timing-intelligent (Dual VVT-i) system, Acoustic Control Induction System (ACIS), Direct Ignition System (DIS) and Electronic Throttle Control System-intelligent (ETCS-i). These systems have been developed to achieve high performance and fuel economy, and reduced exhaust emissions.
