      1. The pick-up coil type cam position sensor is used to detect the camshaft position. The sensor generates 1 signal in every 2 revolutions of the crankshaft by using the timing trigger (rib) of the camshaft.

      1. A Magneto-Resistance Element (MRE) type cam position sensor is used. To detect camshaft position, a timing rotor that is part of the cam is used to generate 3 pulses for every 2 revolutions of the crankshaft.
