      1. The 1NR-FE engine is a 1.3-liter, 16-valve DOHC, in-line 4-cylinder gasoline engine.       1. The 1ND-TV TOYOTA Direct injection 4-stroke common-rail Diesel (D-4D) engine is an in-line 4-cylinder, 1.4-liter, 8-valve SOHC turbocharged diesel engine with intercooler. This engine uses a direct injection system and common-rail system to realize higher performance, good fuel economy, clean emissions, low noise and low vibrations.

      2. This engine has a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) catalytic converter. The DPF catalytic converter is used to realize clean emissions. (Destination package for Turkey sedan models)

      3. This engine has an NSR (NOx Storage Reduction) catalytic converter (exhaust manifold converter sub-assembly) is used in the exhaust manifold converter. The NSR catalytic converter is used to realize clean emissions. (Except destination package for Turkey sedan models)

    6. 8NR-FTS Engine


      1. The 8NR-FTS engine is an in-line, 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter, 16-valve DOHC, turbocharged engine with intercooler. This engine is a Direct injection 4-stroke gasoline engine (D-4S). In addition, this engine uses the Variable Valve Timing-intelligent Wide (VVT-iW) control, Variable Valve Timing-intelligent (VVT-i) control, Direct Ignition System (DIS), Electronic Throttle Control System-intelligent (ETCS-i). It has been developed to achieve high performance, quietness, fuel economy and clean emissions.

      2. This engine uses ESTEC D-4T.

        • Economy with Superior Thermal Efficient Combustion (ESTEC): An engine series which achieves thermal efficiency (fuel economy) improvements through continuous improvements to engine combustion.

        • Direct injection 4 stroke gasoline engine with Turbo (D-4T): A direct injection technology which uses a system to comprehensively perform supercharging control for the D-4 system and turbocharger to achieve a higher dimension of high tumble flow and turbo pressure control by optimizing the cylinder head ports and shape of the piston faces. As a result, fuel economy and low-speed torque are achieved.

      1. An EC65A 6-speed multi-mode manual transaxle is used on multi-mode manual transaxle models with the 1ND-TV engine.
