AIRBAG SYSTEM (for TMC, TMMR Made) GENERAL


  1. OUTLINE


    1. The driver Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) airbag and front passenger SRS twin-chamber airbag supplement the seat belts to help reduce the shocks to the head and chest of the driver and front passenger in the event of a frontal collision.

    2. The SRS driver knee airbag is used as supplement to the seat belt to help restrain the lower body (mainly knees) of the driver, enhancing the effectiveness of occupant protection.*1

    3. The SRS front side airbags are used in the event of a side collision to help reduce shock to the chest of the driver or front passenger.

    4. The SRS rear side airbags are used in the event of a side or rear side collision to help reduce shock to the chest of the rear passengers.*2

    5. The SRS curtain shield airbags are used in the event of a side or rear side collision to help reduce shock to the head of the driver, front passenger and rear passengers.
