OUTLINE
The driver Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) airbag and front passenger SRS twin-chamber airbag supplement the seat belts to help to reduce the shocks to the head and chest of the driver and front passenger in the event of a frontal collision.
The SRS driver knee airbag is used as supplement to the seat belt to help restrain the occupant's lower body (mainly knees), enhancing the effectiveness of occupant protection.*1
The SRS front side airbags are used in the event of a side impact collision to help to reduce the shock to the chest of the driver or front passenger.
The SRS rear side airbags are used in the event of a side or side rear impact collision to help to reduce the shock to the chest of the rear passengers.*2
The SRS curtain shield airbags are used in the event of a side or side rear impact collision to help to reduce the shock to the head of the driver, front passenger and rear passengers.
