    2. Audio Head Unit


      1. In consideration of the unity with the instrument panel, a uniquely sized audio head unit is provided.

      2. A Thin Film Transistor Liquid Crystal Display (TFT LCD) is used for the multi-display of the radio and display receiver assembly*1 or navigation receiver assembly*2. The multi-display shows the audio screen, Bluetooth hands-free screen, vehicle information screen, etc. and can be operated using touch operation, flick operation or drag operation*3*4.

      1. A MirrorLink function is provided. This function enables the user to operate their smartphone (MirrorLink compatible device) using the multi-display by connecting the phone to the system via a USB cable.*1

      2. A connected services for iPhone is provided. If a compatible application is installed on user's Apple product*2, which is connected to the system via an exclusive cable, the user can operate the application on the multi-display.*1

      3. Smart G-BOOK or T-connect is supported.*3 By connecting a smartphone in which the Smart G-BOOK or T-connect application is installed, the user can operate the Smart G-BOOK or T-connect on the multi-display.*1

    6. Digital TV (Destination Package for Brazil and Argentina)


      1. A digital terrestrial television broadcast tuner is integrated to receive 1seg broadcasts, enabling the user to view them in the vehicle.

        Tech Tips

        1seg broadcasting is a data broadcasting service. Each of digital terrestrial television broadcasting frequency bandwidth is divided into 13 segments. A single segment of the 13 is assigned for broadcasting to mobile communications terminals.

    7. USB/AUX Port


      1. A single USB port is provided that enables operation of a USB memory device, portable audio player (USB type), iPhone, iPod classic, iPod, iPod nano or iPod touch.

    10. Voice Recognition Search System (Models with Multimedia System (with Navigation ECU))


      1. Due to the Grapheme to Phoneme (G2P) function of converting sounds into text, a song in the USB audio system can be searched for by saying an artist name, album name, title or playlist name.

    11. Wi-Fi Communication (Models with Multimedia System (with Navigation ECU))


      1. A wireless LAN antenna is integrated into the radio and display receiver assembly, enabling Wi-Fi communication to a user's tethering-compatible cellular phone or mobile Wi-Fi router.

        Tech Tips

        Wi-Fi communication may be unavailable depending on the vehicle conditions, condition of the surroundings such as radio wave conditions around the radio and display receiver assembly, the distance to the device or device conditions. Additionally, during Wi-Fi communication, communication may be cut or become unstable due to the conditions described above.

    12. "GreenEdge" Speakers (Models for G.C.C. Countries with Navigation System or Models with Multimedia System (with Navigation ECU))


      1. "GreenEdge" speakers that efficiently convert electricity to sound with less sound corruption have been adopted. These speakers realize high sound pressure levels with low power consumption while still maintaining superb sound quality.

      2. Due to the adoption of acoustic lenses, the directionality of the speaker output is improved, enhancing the area where the acoustics are effective.

    13. Class H Amplifier (Models for G.C.C. Countries with Navigation System or Models with Multimedia System (with Navigation ECU))


      1. A Class H amplifier is provided for the multimedia system (with navigation ECU). The amplifier controls the power supplied to the amplifier circuit in the most efficient way according to the received audio signals.

      2. The power consumption and heat generation of the Class H amplifier is small, minimizing the size of the heatsink and related parts. This realizes a compact and lightweight amplifier.

    14. Automatic Sound Levelizer (ASL)


      1. The Automatic Sound Levelizer (ASL) function automatically adjusts the sound volume in order to enable clear audio quality even when vehicle noise increases (as vehicle noise increases, the volume is turned up, etc.).

      2. Vehicle speed signals are received from the combination meter assembly and used for ASL control.

    15. Steering Pad Switch Assembly


      1. Switches that the driver often uses are provided on the steering wheel for convenience.

      2. Due to the adoption of a 4 way, back and enter switches, the driver can operate the audio and Bluetooth hands-free functions without taking their hands off the steering wheel. (Except models with 6-speaker sound system)

    16. Multi-information Display (Except Models with 6-speaker Sound System)


      1. When a cellular phone connected to the system via Bluetooth receives a phone call, the call information is displayed on the multi-information display in the combination meter assembly. Operating the multi-information display while the call information is displayed enables the user to answer the phone call.

    17. Rear Seat Audio Control Panel (Cooler Control Switch Assembly) (Models with Rear Power Seat System)


      1. A controller is provided on the rear seat center armrest assembly, enabling the rear seat occupants to adjust the volume and change the audio sources.

        Toyota Eurocare*1

        • With a Bluetooth phone connected to the radio and display receiver assembly, a call*7 to Toyota Eurocare can be made.

        • Upon receiving the information from the GPS satellite, the vehicle's current location is displayed on the Toyota Eurocare call screen so that the user will be able to promptly tell the operator the current location of the vehicle.

        • *1: Models with multimedia system (with navigation ECU)

        • *2: MirrorLink is a registered trademark of Car Connectivity Consortium, Inc.

        • *3: Messages may not be displayed depending on the message service or profile that the connected Bluetooth phone supports.

        • *4: This function may not be available depending on the model of the cellular phone connected via Bluetooth.

        • *5: Available image data formats: JPEG, PNG and BMP

        • *6: This function is not available if the smartphone does not support Car Connectivity Consortium.

        • *7: Calls are only available when the user is in a Toyota Eurocare supported country and the country in which the vehicle is currently located has been selected using the multi-display.
