WIRELESS DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM


  1. FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENTS


    1. The main components in the wireless door lock control system have the following functions:

      Component Function
      Door Lock Assembly Door Lock Motor Drives the motor in response to signals from the main body ECU and locks or unlocks the doors.
      Lock Position Switch Detects whether the doors are locked or unlocked and sends this information to the main body ECU.
      Double Lock Motor*1 Drives the motor by signals from the double lock door control relay assembly and activates or cancels the double locking system.
      Double Lock Position Switch*1 Detects the operating conditions of the double lock motor and sends this information to the double lock door control relay assembly.
      Back Door Lock Assembly Door Lock Motor Drives the motor in response to signals from the main body ECU and releases the back door latch.
      Lock Position Switch Detects whether the back door is locked or unlocked and sends this information to the main body ECU.
      Door Courtesy Light Switch Assembly Detects whether the doors are open or closed and sends this information to the main body ECU.
      Back Door Courtesy Light Switch Assembly Detects whether the back door is open or closed and sends this information to the main body ECU.
      Back Window Lock Assembly*2 Glass Hatch Opener Motor Drives the motor in response to signals from the main body ECU and releases the latch.
      Glass Hatch Courtesy Switch Detects whether the glass hatch is open or closed and sends this information to the main body ECU.
      Key Unlock Warning Switch*3 Detects whether or not the ignition key is inserted into the ignition key cylinder and sends this information to the main body ECU.
      Door Control Receiver
      • Receives a lock or unlock signal from the transmitter and sends this information to the main body ECU.*3

      • Receives a lock or unlock signal from the transmitter and sends this information to the certification ECU.*4

      Transmitter When a driver pushes the lock button, unlock button or glass hatch opener button*2 on the key, the key outputs a request signal.
      Wireless Door Lock Buzzer Sounds as an answer back according to the signal from the main body ECU.*5
      Double Lock Door Control Relay Assembly*1 Drives the double lock motor by means of the signals from the main body ECU, lock position switch and so on.
      Main Body ECU (Driver Side Junction Block Assembly)
      • Drives all door lock motors in response to signals.

      • Sends the glass hatch open request signal to the glass hatch opener motor.*2

      • Sends an operation request signal to the double lock door control relay assembly in response to each signal.*1

      Combination Meter Assembly Receiving the main body ECU signals causes to blink the hazard light as an answer back.*6
      Turn Signal Flasher Assembly*7 Receiving the main body ECU signals causes to blink the hazard light as an answer back.

  2. FUNCTION


    1. The wireless door lock control system has the following functions:

      Function Outline
      All Doors Lock Pressing the lock button of the transmitter locks all doors and the back door.
      All Doors Unlock (1-step Unlock)*1 Pressing the unlock button of the transmitter unlocks all doors and the back door.
      All Doors Unlock (2-step Unlock)*1 Pressing the unlock button on the transmitter once unlocks the driver door, and pressing it again within 3 seconds unlocks all the doors.
      Glass Hatch Opener*2 Pressing and holding the glass hatch opener button opens the glass hatch.
      Automatic Lock If none of the doors and glass hatch*2 are opened for 30 seconds after being unlocked by the wireless door lock control, all the doors are locked again automatically.
      Answer Back
      • When the doors are being locked or unlocked using the transmitter, the wireless door lock buzzer sounds*3 and the hazard warning lights blink once while locking and twice while unlocking.

      • When the glass hatch is being opened using the transmitter, the wireless door lock buzzer sounds twice as an answer back.*2, *3

      Door Ajar Warning If any door or glass hatch*2 is open or ajar, pressing the lock button of the transmitter will cause the wireless door lock buzzer to sound for about 5 seconds.
      Customization The on or off setting of some functions and settings can be performed using the Global Techstream (GTS) or multi-display. In addition, some functions are not available depending on the specification. For details, refer to the Repair Manual.

      Tech Tips

      *1: The function can be set to unlock all the doors after 1 or 2 wireless door lock control operations by using the customization function.

  4. DIAGNOSIS


    1. If there is a malfunction in the system, the main body ECU stores the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) in memory. For details, refer to the Repair Manual.
