      4. Function Layout


        • The characteristic Land Cruiser 4WD switches are positioned symbolically in the center within good reach, and the other driving switches and comfort system switches are split into zones depending on the function, directing the driver to make reliable operations.

      5. Instrument Panel


        • A clean image has been produced for the instrument panel design through color scheme patterns and ornamentation panels, etc. Stitched upholstery is used from the lower area of the instrument panel up to the console, together with high-intensity silver ornamentation to produce a high-quality interior space.

        • The knee pads (instrument panel finish panel ends) that contact occupants' hands and legs are located on the sides of the center cluster and made from a soft material. Upholstery wrapping is used for the knee pads on the high grade instrument panel, and soft resin molding is used for those on the base grade instrument panel. Also, particular attention has been paid to processing details, such as the texture and stitching, in pursuit of a handmade sense of quality and the achievement of both functionality and authenticity.

        • Genuine stitching is used for the upholstery wrapping type instrument panel finish panel ends, and artificial stitching is used for the resin type instrument panel finish panel ends.

    2. Toyota Safety Sense


      1. The preventive safety package "Toyota Safety Sense" has been adopted to support the safe driving.

      2. System that are included in the "Toyota Safety Sense" are as follows:


        • Pre-crash Safety System (PCS)

        • Automatic High Beam (AHB) System

        • Lane Departure Alert (LDA) System

        • Road Sign Assist (RSA) System

    3. Pre-crash Safety System (PCS)


      1. The pre-crash safety system helps to lessen the damage sustained in a collision by operating in unison with warning devices and brake systems.

    4. Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System


      1. The dynamic radar cruise control system is designed to help reduce driver fatigue by helping to control the vehicle to a speed chosen by the driver. Once the dynamic radar cruise control system is set to the desired vehicle speed, the ECM automatically regulates the motive force to maintain the set vehicle speed without any accelerator pedal operation.

    5. Automatic High Beam (AHB) System


      1. The automatic high beam system detects lights in front of the vehicle and automatically changes between high beams and low beams to support the driver during night driving.

    6. Lane Departure Alert (LDA) System


      1. The Lane Departure Alert (LDA) system uses a forward recognition camera to detect lane markers on the road surface, assists the driver's steering operation by using the warning buzzer and electric power steering, and activates the lane departure warning when needed.

    7. Road Sign Assist (RSA) System


      1. The road sign assist system recognizes traffic signs using the forward recognition camera and provides information to the driver via the multi-information display.

    8. Welcome Light Illumination System


      1. The welcome light illumination system operates the clearance lights, taillights and license plate lights in conjunction with the locking and unlocking of the doors, ensuring nighttime usability.

    9. Entry and Start System


      1. The entry and start system mainly consists of the wireless door lock control function, engine immobiliser function, start function and entry function.

      2. The start function allows the power source mode to be switched between off, on (ACC), and on (IG). The power source can be switched by pushing the engine switch while the key is being carried by the driver. In addition, when the key is carried by the driver, the driver can start the engine by pushing the engine switch with the brake pedal*1or clutch pedal*2depressed.

      3. For the entry function, the following functions can be operated when the driver is carrying the key:


        • The doors unlock if the outside door handle is gripped or by pressing the back door lock switch (Entry Unlock Function).

        • All doors are locked by touching the lock sensor of the front outside door handle or by pressing the back door lock switch (Entry Lock Function).

    10. TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System


      1. The TOYOTA parking assist-sensor system uses ultrasonic sensors and is equipped with a beeping alarm. It can detect obstacles at the front*or rear of the vehicle, and provide information to the driver regarding the distance.

      2. The TOYOTA parking assist-sensor system informs the driver of the approximate distance between the sensors and the obstacles as well as their positions by displaying them on the multi-information display in the combination meter assembly*1or on the multi-display*2or the clearance warning indicator assembly*3and by sounding a buzzer.

    11. Parking Assist Monitor System


      1. The parking assist monitor system consists of the rear monitor and parking guide lines to assist the driver in parking the vehicle.

      2. The parking assist monitor system has a rear television camera assembly mounted on the back door*1or the back door spare tire carrier*2to display a view of the area behind the vehicle on the multi-display.

    12. Blind Spot Monitor System


      1. Models for Europe, the blind spot monitor system performs 2 functions using the same blind spot monitor sensors: blind spot monitor function and rear crossing traffic alert (RCTA) function.

      2. Except models for Europe, the blind spot monitor system performs 2 functions using the same blind spot monitor sensors: blind spot monitor function and rear cross traffic alert (RCTA) function*.

    13. Monitor System


      1. To assist the driver in parking the vehicle by monitoring the area behind it, the rear view monitor system has a rear television camera assembly mounted on the back door*1or back door spare tire carrier*2.

    14. Multi-terrain Monitor System


      1. A panoramic view mode has been added to the multi-terrain monitor system. As a result, not only driving off-road, but parking on normal roads has become easier.

      2. An under vehicle terrain view and dual side view mode have been added to the multi-terrain monitor system. With the under vehicle terrain view, the condition of the vehicle underfloor and tire positions, which could not be confirmed before, can be confirmed on the screen.

    15. Telematics System


      1. ERA-GLONASS is a subscription-based telematics service that uses Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) and cellular service (telephone function).

    16. Rear Seat Entertainment System (RSES)


      1. The RSES displays images from the Blu-ray player or an auxiliary player on the television display assembly. The RSES also outputs sound via the speakers or headphones.

      2. The RSES television display assembly is provided on roof headlining, thus enabling each rear seat occupant to view the television image while looking straight forward.

      3. A pair of 9.0-inch Wide Video Graphics Array (WVGA) monitor is used for the television system. In addition, Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) are used to provide mercury-free backlighting. This reduces the burden on the environment and ensures brightness.

      4. Disc and VIDEO buttons are provided separately on the remote controller, thus enhancing usability.

      5. A menu screen exclusive to the RSES is provided, thus enhancing operability of each content selection.

        • A 60/40 split tumble seat is provided for the rear No. 1 seat on 3-door models.

        • A 60/40 split double-folding seat is provided for the rear No. 1 seat on 5-passenger models, 5-door models with 10-passenger models.

        • A 60/40 split slide walk-in seat is provided for the rear No. 1 seat on 7-passenger models.

        • A double-flat seat (manual/power) is provided for the rear No. 2 seat on 7-passenger models.

        • Face to face seat is provided for the rear No. 2 seat on 9-passenger models and 10-passenger models.

      2. Front Power Seat


        • A power seat control system is used for the driver seat and front passenger seat.

        • A memory function is used in the power seat control system for the driver seat.

      3. Rear No. 2 Power Seat with Folding Function


        • A power seat control system is used for rear No. 2 seat.

        • The rear No. 2 seat is stowed automatically by the folding function.

      4. Seat Cover

        Genuine leather and 2 types of fabric are provided for the seat cover.
