ENGINE UNIT

  1. CONSTRUCTION

    1. The pistons are made of aluminum alloy to allow them to be compact and lightweight.

    2. The piston head portion uses a taper squish shape to achieve fuel combustion efficiency.

    3. The piston skirts are coated with resin to reduce friction losses.

    4. The groove of the No. 1 compression ring is coated with alumite to ensure abrasion resistance.

    5. Low-tension piston rings are used to reduce friction and achieve excellent fuel economy.

    6. Narrow-width piston rings are used to reduce weight and friction.

    7. A Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) coating has been applied to the surface of the No. 1 compression ring and oil ring, in order to improve its wear resistance.

    8. A No. 1 compression ring with an inside bevel shape is used to improve engine performance.

    9. A steel No. 2 compression ring is used to improve wear resistance.

    10. The 3-piece oil ring is used to help reduce oil consumption by making it more difficult for deposits to accumulate.
