  1. OUTLINE

    1. Front Wiper Deicer System (Models with Front Wiper Deicer System)

      1. The front wiper deicer system uses a heater element in the front windshield glass to help reduce the formation of ice where the front wipers park.

      2. This system is controlled by the air conditioning amplifier assembly.

    2. Rear Defogger System

      1. The rear defogger system uses the heater wires on the rear window glass to defog the rear window glass.

      2. This system is controlled by the air conditioning amplifier assembly.

      3. The rear defogger system operates together with the mirror heater system.

    3. Windshield Glass/Window Glass

    1. Water Repellent Coated Glass

      1. The effect of the water repellent coating lasts only for a limited duration. To make the water repellent coating last longer, observe the following precautions:

        • If the front door glass is dirty, clean it with a soft and wet cloth as soon as possible.

        • Do not use detergent containing an abrasive compound or wax to clean the front door glass.

        • If dirt is on the glass, do not attempt to clean it with an automatic car-wash or by opening and closing the front door glass repeatedly.

        • Do not attempt to scrape off ice built up on the front door glass using a metal scraper or similar tool.
