REAR SUSPENSION SYSTEM

  1. OUTLINE

    1. A multi-link type suspension is used.

    2. Through the optimal allocation and characteristics of components, the rear suspension ensures excellent ride comfort and controllability.

    3. Changes to the toe during suspension stroke are suppressed as much as possible, thus ensuring that a straight line is kept in spite of road surface disturbances. In addition, the toe control link sub-assembly is located rearward and a large tire grip is generated during turning, thus aiming for an improvement in stability when turning.

    4. A rear upper control arm assembly and a toe control link sub-assembly which are forged from aluminum are used, thus aiming for both weight reduction and high rigidity.

    5. High-strength sheet steel is used for the rear No. 1 upper control arm assembly and 2 rear suspension arm assemblies, thus achieving weight reduction.

    6. A urethane bound stopper is used and each component such as the rear stabilizer bush has been optimized, thus ensuring superior ride comfort and stability.

    7. The rear coil spring and the rear shock absorber assembly are located separately, thus enlarging luggage space.
