Rear Differential
FD21C type rear differential is used on the models with 2GR-FSE engine.
FD20A type rear differential is used on the models with 4GR-FSE engine.
A pre-torque mechanism is used to improve the initial acceleration performance of the vehicle on slippery road surfaces.
A lightweight carrier with optimized thickness and a streamlined rib is used.
For the FD20A type rear differential, lightweight has been achieved by reducing the thickness of the rear differential carrier cover, and by changing the thickness of its ribs.
Low viscosity oil is used, thus improving fuel consumption.
