SYSTEM CONTROL
During an idling stop, the engine stop and start ECU operates the oil pump with solenoid assembly. As a result, ATF pressure is ensured during idling stops, achieving a natural response and smooth driveability when the vehicle is started off from an engine stopped condition.
The engine stop and start ECU sends a pump operation signal to the oil pump with solenoid assembly when the following conditions are met.
The engine restarts, and the stop and start ECU stops the oil pump with solenoid assembly when it determines that the engine is in operation. Also, even during an idling stop, operation is stopped when the shift range is not in D or P.
