THEFT DETERRENT


  1. OUTLINE


    1. The theft deterrent system can sound the alarm when any of the following activities are detected:


      • The vehicle is being forcibly entered.

      • The engine hood is being opened.

      • Any door is being unlocked without the key.

      • A battery terminal is disconnected and reconnected.

      • Any moving object is detected in the interior.

      • The pitch angle of the vehicle inclination is changed.*1

      • Open circuit is detected in print pattern type glass breakage sensor.*2

    2. The system consists of door lock control system parts, entry and start system parts, an intrusion sensor, a tilt sensor (yawrate sensor)*1, a glass breakage sensor*2, a theft warning siren assembly and a security indicator light.

    3. The system is controlled by the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).

      *1: Models with tilt sensor (yawrate sensor)

      *2: Models with tilt glass breakage sensor

  2. MAJOR DIFFERENCE


    1. The new models have been modified from the previous models as shown below:


      1. The position of the security indicator light has been changed.
