LUBRICATION SYSTEM


  1. OUTLINE


    1. The lubrication circuit is fully pressurized and all oil passes through an oil filter.

    2. A trochoid gear type oil pump assembly is driven by the crankshaft via the No. 2 chain sub-assembly.

    3. This engine has an oil return system in which the oil is force-fed to the upper cylinder head and returns to the oil pan through the oil return holes in the cylinder head.

    4. The camshaft timing oil control valve controls the oil flow and supplies oil to the VVT-i Controller (camshaft timing gear assembly).

    5. Cartridge type or element kit type oil filter are used.
