  1. FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENTS


    1. Electric Remote Control Type Mirror Sub-assembly

      Component Function
      Outer Mirror Switch Assembly Operates the outer mirror to adjust the mirror surface as well as to retract* the mirror.
      Mirror Sub-assembly Adjusts the position of the mirror by operating the motor in the mirror sub-assembly in accordance with the signals from the outer mirror switch assembly.

    2. Mirror Heater

      Component Function
      Mirror Heater Prevents front and dew build-up on the mirror.
      Rear Defogger Switch Operates the mirror heater.
  2. FUNCTION


    1. Power Retractable Electrical Control Type Mirror Sub-assembly


      1. The user operates a switch on top of the outer mirror switch sub-assembly to control the retraction of the electric remote mirrors.

    2. Mirror Heater


      1. The mirror heaters use a heater element in both outer mirror sub-assemblies to help remove frost and dew from the mirrors.

      2. The mirror heaters are controlled by the air conditioning amplifier assembly.

      3. The mirror heater operates at the same time as the rear defogger system.

  3. OPERATION


    1. Mirror Heater


      1. The mirror heater is activated when the power source is turned ignition switch (engine switch*) ON, and rear window defogger switch is pushed. The air conditioning amplifier assembly activates to keep the mirror heater on for approx. 15 minutes.
