  1. FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENTS


    1. Front Deicer System

      Component Function
      Front Wiper Deicer Switch Operates the windshield deicer system.
      Windshield Deicer Wire Applies electrical current to a windshield deicer wire in the windshield glass to generate heat and remove ice from the windshield glass.
    2. Rear Defogger System

      Component Function
      Rear Window Defogger Switch Inputs the rear window defogger wire operation signal into the air conditioning amplifier assembly.
      Air Conditioning Amplifier Assembly Operates and controls the rear defogger system in accordance with the signals from the rear defogger switch.
      Rear Window Defogger Wire Applies electrical current to a defogger wire installed in the rear window glass*1 or back door glass*2 to remove fogging from the rear window glass*1 or back door glass*2.

  2. OPERATION


    1. Windshield Deicer System


      1. This is activated when the power source is turned ignition switch (engine switch*) ON, and the front wiper deicer switch is pushed.

    2. Rear Defogger System


      1. When the power source is turned ignition switch (engine switch*) ON, and the rear window defogger switch is pushed, this system is activated to keep the rear defogger wire and mirror heaters on for approximately. 15 minutes.
