OUTLINE
Light Weight and Highly Rigid Body
High-strength sheet steel and ultra high-strength sheet steel are used in order to achieve excellent body rigidity and a lightweight body.
Safety Features
The impact absorbing structure minimizes cabin deformation by effectively helping to absorb the impact energy in the event of a front, side or rear collision. This provides high performance occupant protection.
Rust-resistant Body
Rust-resistant performance is ensured by the extensive use of anti-corrosion sheet steel, as well as by an anti-corrosion treatment that includes the application of anti-rust wax, sealer and anti-chipping paint to easily corroded parts such as the hood and fender.
Low Vibration and Low Noise Body
Effective application of vibration damping and noise suppressant materials reduces engine, wind and road noise.
Aerodynamics
Various types of airflow routing parts that control airflow are provided under the floor, and an under cover is provided to make the under floor area flat in order to ensure excellent aerodynamic performance.
Parts with Low Repair Cost
Top-level damageability is achieved among the same segments, thus reducing the repair cost in the case of a minor collision.
MAIN FEATURES
Exterior Design
Front View (Sedan Models)
The outer skirt of the hood panel folds into the front pillar, giving a unique AVENSIS identity.
The front bumper cover has been designed to express dynamism by adoption a strengthened big round and center push design.
The radiator grille sub-assembly combines a Toyota brand double concave style with an outline that is tailored to the motion of the vehicle, a characteristic inherited from Toyota's European line-up. In addition, the Toyota emblem is integrated with a central column behind the center of the radiator grille sub-assembly, thus emphasizing the center of the vehicle.

Rear View (Sedan Models)
The character line from the upper side of the doors encompasses the upper sections of the luggage compartment door panel sub-assembly, thus expressing a dynamic image.
The black horizontal line used on the rear bumper express a wide and stable image.
The character line connecting the rear bumper cover with the rear combination lights expresses a wide and stately image.
Rear View (Wagon Models)
The character line from the upper side of the doors encompasses the upper sections of the back door panel sub-assembly, thus expressing a dynamic image.
The black horizontal line used on the rear bumper express a wide and stable image.
The character line connecting the rear bumper cover with the rear combination lights expresses a wide and stately image.
A rear spoiler is provided as standard equipment. The rear spoiler has a robust line which expresses a sporty appearance.
An integrated type roof rail is provided as standard equipment to express a sense of unity with the body.
Side View (Sedan Models)
Compared with the conventional sedan models, the base of the front body pillar has been located further forward and the base of the quarter pillar has been located further toward the rear to produce a large smooth line flow which passes through the hood panel, roof panel, and luggage compartment door panel sub-assembly, thus expressing a dynamic side design.
The belt line and door character line raise toward the rear of the vehicle to form a wedge shape, thus expressing a sporty image.
Side View (Wagon Models)
Compared with the conventional wagon models, the base of the front body pillar has been located further forward to produce a smooth line, which combines with the hood panel, roof panel, and rear spoiler to express a dynamic side design that complements the inwardly inclined back window glass.
