FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENTS
The power seat control system for the driver seat consists of the following parts:

| Main Body ECU | Various signals are transmitted and received via the Controller Area Network (CAN) by way of the main body ECU. | |
| Multiplex Tilt and Telescopic ECU | Detects the position information of the tilt and telescopic motors. Receives signals from the position control ECU assembly via the CAN, and memorizes and recalls the steering position. | |

Power Seat Control System
This system controls the driver seat using by position control ECU assembly incorporated into the seat switches, which are mounted on driver seat.
The power pneumatic lumbar system, which offers an extra support over a substantial area of the lower back, is used.
The each functions of the front power seat system operate as follows:

OPERATION
Driving Position Function
The memory and recall conditions of driving position memory function are as follows:

| Memory | Stores the positions when all conditions below have been met and button 1 or 2 is pushed while the "SET" button is pushed. When the memory setting is completed, the buzzer will sound for 0.1 seconds. | |
| Recall | Automatic Transmission | If button 1 or 2 is pressed when all conditions have been met, the system operates to adjust the positions.
When button 1 or 2 is pressed, the buzzer will sound. |
| Manual Transmission | If button 1 or 2 is pressed when all conditions have been met, the system operates to adjust the positions.

DIAGNOSIS
If the seat motor malfunctions, a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) is stored in the position control ECU assembly. The DTC can be read by connecting the intelligent tester II to DLC3.
