BRAKE CONTROL SYSTEM


  1. OUTLINE


    1. The following brake control functions are provided: Anti-lock Brake System (ABS), Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD), brake assist, Traction Control (TRC), Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), cooperative control with Electric Power Steering (EPS) and hill-start assist control.

    2. A VSC OFF switch is provided.

  2. PRECAUTION


    1. When the brake control system is activated, the brake pedal could shudder, which is a normal occurrence of the system in operation and should not be considered a malfunction.

    2. The TRC and VSC functions control brake hydraulic pressure and engine output to ensure vehicle stability. Therefore, the VSC OFF switch (which stops the operation of the TRC and VSC functions) should be operated only when it is necessary.

    3. Ignition Switch Expressions


      1. The type of ignition switch used on this model differs depending on the specifications of thevehicle. The expressions listed in the table below are used in this section:
