OUTLINE
Exhaust Emission Control System
Three-Way Catalytic converters (TWCs) are used to reduce emissions in the exhaust gas.
An air injection system is used.*
Based on the signals from the air fuel ratio sensor and oxygen sensor, the ECM controls the fuel injection volume in order to optimize the emissions in the exhaust gas.
*: Models for compliant with EURO 5 emission regulations
Evaporative Emission Control System
The ECM controls the purge flow of evaporative emissions (HC) in the charcoal canister sub-assembly in accordance with engine conditions.
