POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM DETAILS


  1. FUNCTION


    1. The power door lock control system has the following functions:

      Function Outline
      One-motion Open (Driver and Front Passenger) When the door is locked, this function enables the door to be unlocked by merely pulling the inside handle lever of the door.
      Key-linked Lock This function, which is linked with the key cylinder, can lock all the doors when a lock operation is performed.
      2-step Unlock This function is provided to unlock the driver door when the key is turned in the key cylinder the first time, and to unlock the remaining doors when it is turned the second time.
      1-step Unlock This function is provided to unlock all the doors when the key is turned in the key cylinder one time.
      Key Confinement Prevention When the door control transmitter assembly*1 is in the ignition or starter switch assembly*1 or the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly*2 is present in the interior detection area*2, and a door lock operation is performed while the driver door is open, all the doors will be unlocked.
      Manual Unlock Prohibition Function When the doors are all closed and are locked using a key linked operation, wireless key operation or entry operation, unlocking the vehicle using the door control switch is prohibited.
      Shift-linked Automatic Door Lock*3

      When the conditions listed below are met consecutively, this function causes all the doors to be automatically locked.


      • The ignition switch is changed from off or ACC to ON.

      • All doors are closed.

      • The shift lever is moved out of P.

      • Any one of the doors is in an unlocked state.
      Speed-sensitive Automatic Door Lock*3

      When the conditions listed below are met, this function causes all the doors to be automatically locked.


      • Vehicle speed is higher than approximately 20 km/h (12 mph).

      • All doors are closed.

      • Any one of the doors is in an unlocked state.
      Shift-linked Automatic Door Unlock When the ignition switch ON, and the shift lever is moved to P, all the doors will be automatically unlocked.
      Driver Door Opening-linked Automatic Door Unlock All doors are automatically unlocked when the driver door is opened within 10 seconds after the ignition switch is turned from ON to ACC or off.
