OUTLINE
The 2 types of navigation system are as follows:
- Radio and Display Receiver Assembly with Extension Module
- Navigation Receiver Assembly
The display is a wide 6.1-inch*1 or 7.0-inch*2 Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) with a pressure sensitive touch panel, offering improved ease of use.
For the radio and display receiver assembly, enhanced navigation system functions are available by installing an extension module.*1
The built-in memory type navigation system is provided. Data, such as map data, is stored on the non-volatile semiconductor memory of the built-in memory.
Connected services that enable a Point of Interest (POI) searched on the internet to be set as a destination or registered as a memory point is supported.*1
The map data stored on the non-volatile semiconductor memory can be updated using a USB memory.
The multi-display uses a Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) screen with a pressure sensitive touch panel. This makes it possible to operate switches on the navigation, audio, and information screens.
Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) are used to provide mercury-free backlighting for the multi-display. This reduces the burden on the environment and ensures brightness.
A fuel consumption screen is provided in consideration of the environment.
A split display function is provided. Due to this function, the map screen and the audio screen or vehicle information screen can be displayed on the single screen simultaneously.*2
The G-BOOK system that links the vehicle and G-BOOK communication center can be used.
The navigation system supports a function used for the export/import of memory points. This function enables memory point data stored to be transferred to another navigation system via a USB memory device.

Export/Import Memory Point Function
Memory point data stored can be transferred to another navigation system, enabling information sharing.
Hand-writing Input Function (Models with Navigation Receiver Assembly)
On the facility name (Pin Yin) search and the address/intersection search during a destination search, besides a keyboard input method, a hand-writing input method is supported. Characters can be entered by writing a character with a finger on the input zone of the multi-display. Additionally, this method has the character prediction function that predicts and displays potential matches when the user starts writing the character on the input zone.
The main functions of the navigation system are listed below.
| Function | Outline | |
|---|---|---|
| Navigation Screen Display | Through the use of the Global Positioning System (GPS) and map data which is stored on the non-volatile semiconductor memory, the navigation system analyzes the position of the vehicle and indicates the position on the map that is displayed on the screen. In addition, it is possible to use the system to register memory points and navigate to a destination. | |
| Audio/Video System | Serves as the display and controls for the following:
|
|
| Hands-free System | When a Bluetooth-compatible cellular telephone is registered to the multi-display, the driver can make and receive calls or talk hands-free on the cellular telephone by operating the switches on the screen/steering pad. | |
| Speech Command System*1 | Operates the navigation, audio, and hands-free systems based on voice commands. | |
| Monitor System | Displays a view of the area behind the vehicle that is captured by the television camera mounted on the back door when the shift lever is moved to R. | |
| Others | Maintenance Information*2 |
