OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM GENERAL


  1. OUTLINE


    1. The occupant classification system judges whether the front passenger seat is occupied by an adult or child (with a child seat) or is unoccupied, in accordance with the load that is applied to the front passenger seat and whether the seat belt is fastened.

    2. This system consists of the occupant detection ECU, 4 occupant detection sensors, AIRBAG ON/OFF indicator lights, front seat inner belt assembly RH and airbag sensor assembly.
