  1. FUNCTION


    1. The outer rear view mirrors have the following functions:

      Function Outline
      Mirror Heater* When the rear defogger and mirror heater switch are turned on, the mirror surface is heated for a certain period of time.
      Foot Light This function illuminates around the doors in conjunction with the illuminated entry system operation.
      Electrical Remote Control When the mirror surface switch is operated, this function moves the mirror surface vertically or laterally to enable the driver to attain an optimal mirror angle.
      Manual Retractable This function retracts the outside rear view mirrors when the retractable switch is pressed.
      Automatic Retractable
      • When all doors are locked from the outside of the vehicle while the engine switch is on (IG), the outside rear view mirrors are retracted.

      • When all doors are unlocked from the outside of the vehicle while the engine switch is off, the outside rear view mirrors are returned to their original position.

      Reverse-linked Mirror When the shift lever is moved to R, the outside rear view mirror on the driver and passenger side tilts downward, thus facilitating confirmation of the rear side of the vehicle.
      Automatic Glare-resistant Electro Chromic (EC Mirror) This function can automatically reduce headlight glare from an oncoming vehicle during nighttime driving.
      Memory System This system stores up to 3 mirror positions.

      Tech Tips

      *: The electric power control ECU sends the load control request signal to the air conditioning amplifier depending on the condition of the battery. Upon receiving the signal, the power steering ECU assembly temporarily limits the power consumption of the system.
