SYSTEM CONTROL
Jam Protection Function
The rear door sunshade assembly has a jam protection function to minimize the possibility of injury when any part of an occupant's body gets caught in a sunshade.
When more than a certain level of load is applied to the sunshade top plate while the sunshade is raised, the connection between the plate and the motive force transmission cable of the sunshade is disengaged, and the sunshade stops operating. When lowering the sunshade, the sunshade top plate and motive force transmission cable are reconnected. When more than a certain level of load is applied to the sunshade top plate while the sunshade is lowered, the connection between the plate and the motive force transmission cable of the sunshade is disengaged. As a result, the motor motive force supplied to the plate is cut off and the sunshade stops operating. When lowering the sunshade once again after raising it, the sunshade top plate and motive force transmission cable are reconnected.
