LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR OPENER SYSTEM DETAILS


  1. FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENTS

    Component Function
    Luggage Door Closer Assembly Drives the built-in motor via the luggage room junction block assembly control to open the luggage compartment door.
    Rear J/B ECU (Luggage Room Junction Block Assembly) Receives open signals from each ECU and switch and drives the luggage door closer assembly.
    Certification ECU (Smart Key ECU Assembly) In the wireless door lock control function, if the luggage compartment door opener button on the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly is pressed, the certification ECU transmits a signal to the luggage room junction block assembly via the CAN (MS bus).
    Main Body ECU (Driver Side Junction Block) When the luggage door opening switch assembly is pressed, the main body ECU transmits a signal to the luggage room junction block assembly.
    Luggage Door Opening Switch Assembly Setting this switch to on opens the luggage compartment door from the cabin.
    Luggage Electrical Key Switch Sends an on signal to the luggage room junction block assembly in order to open the luggage compartment door from the outside.
    Door Control Receiver Sends a luggage compartment door opener button on signal received from the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly to the certification ECU.
    Luggage Door Opening Cancel Switch Assembly Setting this switch to off prohibits system operation.

  2. OPERATING CONDITION


    1. The operating conditions of the luggage compartment door opener system are as follows:

      Operation Condition
      Luggage Compartment Door Open

      When the luggage compartment door is closed and any of the following conditions is met, the luggage compartment door can be opened by pressing the luggage door opening switch assembly, electrical key transmitter sub-assembly or luggage electrical key switch:


      • Engine switch is off.*

      • Engine switch is on (IG), vehicle speed is approx. 3 km/h (approx. 2 mph) or less and shift lever is in P.

      • Engine switch is on (IG), vehicle speed is approx. 3 km/h (approx. 2 mph) or less and brake pedal is depressed.

      • Engine switch is on (IG), vehicle speed is approx. 3 km/h (approx. 2 mph) or less and parking brake is engaged.

      Tech Tips

      *: When the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly is in the cabin, the luggage compartment door opener button does not operate.

    1. Luggage Door Opening Cancel Switch Assembly


      1. The luggage door opening cancel switch assembly is located inside the glove box.

      2. When the luggage door opening cancel switch assembly is turned off, the luggage compartment door opener system can be canceled.
