WIRELESS DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM DETAILS

  1. FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENTS

    1. The main components in the wireless door lock control system have the following functions:

      Component Function
      Door Courtesy Light Switch Assembly Detects whether the doors are open or closed and sends this information to the main body ECU.
      Door Lock Assembly Lock Position Switch Detects whether the doors are locked or unlocked and sends this information to the main body ECU.
      Door Lock Motor Drives the motor in response to signals from the main body ECU and locks or unlocks the doors.
      Back Door Lock Assembly Lock Position Switch Detects whether the back door is locked or unlocked and sends this information to the main body ECU.
      Door Lock Motor Drives the motor in response to signals from the main body ECU and releases the back door latch.
      Back Door Courtesy Light Switch Assembly Detects whether the back door is open or closed and sends this information to the main body ECU.
      Glass Hatch Opener Motor* Drives the motor in response to signals from the main body ECU and releases the latch.
      Glass Hatch Courtesy Light Switch Assembly* Detects whether the glass hatch is open or closed and sends this information to the main body ECU.
      Door Control Receiver Receives a lock or unlock signal from the transmitter and sends this information to the main body ECU.
      Main Body ECU
      • Drives all door lock motors in response to signals.

      • Sends an operation request signal to the double lock door control relay assembly in response to each signal.

  2. FUNCTION

    1. The wireless door lock control system has the following functions:

      All Doors Lock Pressing the lock button of the transmitter locks all doors and the back door.

      (Not Customizable)

      All Doors Unlock Pressing the unlock button of the transmitter unlocks all doors and the back door. Default Setting is On*1

      All Doors Unlock

      (2-step Unlock)

      Pressing the unlock button on the transmitter once unlocks the driver door, and pressing it again within 3 seconds unlocks all the doors. Default Setting is Off*1
      Glass Hatch Opener*2 Pressing and holding the glass hatch opener button opens the glass hatch. Default Setting is On*1
      Automatic Lock If none of the doors are opened for 30 seconds after being unlocked by the wireless door lock control, all the doors are locked again automatically. Default Setting is On*1
      Answer Back
      • When the doors are being locked or unlocked using the transmitter, the wireless door lock buzzer sounds*3 and the hazard warning lights blink once while locking and twice while unlocking.

      • When the glass hatch is being opened using the transmitter, the wireless door lock buzzer sounds twice as an answer back.*3

      Default Setting is On*1
      Door Ajar Warning*4 If any door is open or ajar, pressing the lock button of the transmitter will cause the wireless door lock buzzer to sound for about 5 seconds. Default Setting is On*1

    1. Transmitter

      1. The transmitter for the wireless door lock control has a lock button, an unlock button and a glass hatch opener button.

  4. DIAGNOSIS

    1. If there is a malfunction in the system, the main body ECU stores the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) in its memory. For details, refer to the corresponding Repair Manual for this model.
