METER / GAUGE SYSTEM GENERAL

  1. OUTLINE

    1. An Optitron display type combination meter assembly or an analog display type combination meter assembly is used.

    2. The Optitron display type combination meter assembly achieves excellent visibility through the use of smoke acrylic in the protective panel, and bright Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) that have high contrast to illuminate the indicator and the dial.

    3. A meter ECU and a multi buzzer are enclosed in the combination meter assembly. This ECU maintains communication with other ECUs through the Controller Area Network (CAN).

    4. A front seat belt warning function is provided. If the front seat belt is not buckled, this system blinks the seat belt warning light and sounds the multi buzzer as a reminder.

    5. A Gear Shift Indicator is used on the models for Europe with manual transmission.

    6. Eco Driving Indicator is used on the models with automatic transmission. Eco Driving Indicator informs the driver of whether the accelerator pedal is being operated in an environmentally friendly manner by illuminating Eco Driving Indicator Light and Eco Driving Indicator Zone Display on the multi-information display.

    7. The multi-information display has been positioned on the combination meter assembly.

    8. An accessory meter assembly, which can display cruise information, is provided as optional equipment on models with the entry and start system.

      The diagrams shown above are for describing the new car features. They may differ from the actual design. If the LEDs malfunction, the entire combination meter assembly must be replaced. For details, refer to the corresponding Repair Manual for this model.
