Seat Heater Control
When the user turns the seat heater and ventilation switch on, the air conditioning amplifier assembly detects the temperature that is set at the seat heater and ventilation switch.
At the same time, the air conditioning amplifier assembly detects the temperature of the seat cover by way of the thermistor* that is provided in the seat cushion.
Then, the air conditioning amplifier assembly applies a quantity of electricity in accordance with the circumstances in order to adjust the seat cover temperature to the set temperature.
Tech Tips
*: An element that uses a semiconductor (the resistance starts out high at low temperatures and the resistance drops as the temperature rises) in which the electrical resistance changes considerably with slight changes in temperature.
Seat Ventilation Control
By operating the seat heater and ventilation switch, the ventilation volume can be adjusted to 3 levels. The indicator light illuminates to indicate that the ventilation function is operating.
When the user operates the seat heater and ventilation volume switch located forward of the console box, the blower motor in the seat cushion climate control blower operates to direct the air that is drawn in from behind the seat climate control blower to both the seat back and seat cushion pads.
After the air is directed to both the seat back and seat cushion pads, it travels throughout the pads along the grooves that are provided in the pads. Then, it spreads to the entire seat along the slab urethane layer, and becomes discharged through the perforations in the genuine leather seat cover.
