PARKING ASSIST MONITOR SYSTEM


  1. FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENTS

    Component Function
    Television Camera Transmits a view of the area behind the vehicle to the parking assist ECU.
    Parking Assist ECU

    • Transmits visual signals, which are composed of a view of the area behind the vehicle taken with the television camera and parking assist guide lines, to the multi display.

      Furthermore, it effects overall control of the system based on signals received from the sensors and the navigation ECU.

    • The parking assist ECU sets a warning message or guide message of the parking assist monitor system using the same language selected for the multi display.
    Multi Display Receives video signals composed of the area behind the vehicle with parking assist guide lines overlaid from the parking assist ECU, and displays them on the display panel.
    Navigation ECU

    • Uses the yaw rate detected by the gyro sensor that is built into the navigation ECU to transmit the movement of the vehicle to the parking assist ECU.

    • Transmits the current language settings to the parking assist ECU. These settings were selected using the language select function of the multi display.
    Steering Angle Sensor Detects the angle of the steering wheel, and transmits the signal to the parking assist ECU.
    Combination Meter Transmits the vehicle speed signal to the parking assist ECU.
    ECM Transmits the reverse signal to the parking assist ECU.
    Network Gateway ECU Transmits the signal received from the combination meter and the ECM to the parking assist ECU.
