PARKING ASSIST MONITOR SYSTEM


  1. DESCRIPTION


    1. The parking assist monitor system is provided as standard equipment for the Europe, Australia, and China models, and is available as optional equipment for the G.C.C. countries models.

    2. The parking assist monitor system consists of the rear view and parking guide lines to assist the driver in parking the vehicle. The parking assist monitor system has a television camera mounted on the back door to display a view of the area behind the vehicle on the multi display.

    3. A package consisting of the parking assist monitor system and the multi display is available.

    4. This system consists of the television camera, parking assist ECU, multi display, steering angle sensor, navigation ECU, combination meter and ECM.

    5. This system operates when all the conditions given below have been met:


      • Engine switch is ON (IG).

      • The shift lever is shifted to R.

    6. If the driver moves the shift lever to a position other than P, or switches the modes on the multi display, the rear view display will stop and change to the display of another mode.
