    1. When the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) detects an abnormality with the start key system, a message appears on the multi-information display. If the engine is stopped in this state, it might not be possible to restart it.

      Either of the following conditions is met:


      • The engine has started.

      • The power source is turned off.
      ACCESSORY On (ACC) state
      IGNITION ON On (IG) state (the hybrid system is not started.)
      Key Warning Light Engine start ready state*

      *: The shift lever is in P, the key certification result is OK and the brake pedal is depressed (the stop light switch assembly is on).
