POWER BACK DOOR SYSTEM


  1. DESCRIPTION


    1. A power back door system enables the back door to be opened and closed automatically by a motor in accordance with the user operation signals.

    2. In addition, a power back door switch has been provided at the back door for convenience.


      1. The PWR DOOR OFF switch is the main switch for this system.

      2. The power back door ECU has been built into the power back door unit assembly.

      3. This system, which is controlled by the power back door ECU, operates when the conditions indicated below have been met.

        Engine Switch Operating Condition
        On (IG) The PWR DOOR OFF switch is ON.*1
        The back door is unlocked.*2, *3
        Battery voltage is 10.5V or more.
        The shift lever is in P.*3
        The vehicle speed is 3 mph (5 km/h) or less.*3
        The tail gate is closed.
        Off The PWR DOOR OFF switch is ON.*1
        The back door is unlocked.*2, *3
        Battery voltage is 10.5V or more.
        The tail gate is closed.

        Tech Tips

        *1: The state in which the switch is not pressed.

        *2: The power back door can be operated if it is open.

        *3: The operating condition for the opener function.
