REAR WINDOW DEFOGGER SYSTEM


  1. SYSTEM OPERATION


    1. The rear window defogger system is activated when the engine switch is turned on (IG), and the rear window defogger switch is pushed.

    2. The rear window defogger switch is provided with a timer function to turn off the defogger and outer rear view mirror heater after approximately 15 minutes.

    3. If both of the following conditions are met approximately 15 minutes after the defogger and outer rear view mirror heater was activated, the defogger and outer rear view mirror heater continues to operate up to 255 minutes. If the following conditions are not met, the rear window defogger system stops operating immediately.


      • The outside air temperature is -3 °C (26.6 °F) or below.

      • The vehicle speed is 50 km/h (30 mph) or more.
