DLC3 Allows system diagnosis to be performed when Global TechStream (GTS).

*: The green and red indicator lights turn on for 5 seconds immediately after the engine switch is turned on (ACC).

  2. FUNCTION

    1. Emergency Call Service

      1. The emergency call service automatically makes a call to a G-BOOK center operator in the event of an accident, such as one that makes the airbags deploy, in order to support prompt attendance by emergency personnel.

      2. In the event of trouble such as an accident or sudden illness, the telematics transceiver (data communication module) can be used to call the emergency call center and send location information and the registered user information

        A01W7KIE01
      3. The emergency call service can be activated either manually or automatically to contact the G-BOOK center.

        Call Method Operation Condition
Automatic Call An automatic call is made in the event of an accident, such as one that makes the airbags deploy. The call occurs regardless of the condition of the occupants.
Manual Call In the event of a sudden illness or an accident that does not cause the airbags to deploy, a manual call can be made by pressing the emergency call switch in the overhead console. (To press the emergency call switch, the emergency call switch cover needs to be removed.)
      4. The emergency call service operation and contract conditions can be confirmed by accessing the G-BOOK center and performing the following maintenance checks.

        Maintenance Check Outline
Automatic Maintenance Check The telematics transceiver (data communication module) automatically and periodically accesses the emergency call center to confirm if the user is still registered.
Manual Maintenance Check The user can press the emergency call switch for 10 seconds or more while the green and red indicator lights are on immediately after the engine switch is turned on (IG) to access the G-BOOK center and confirm that they are still registered.

        Tech Tips

In the following cases, the emergency call service may not be available or the service quality may suffer.

        • The G-BOOK online service has not been established or the first manual maintenance check has not been completed.

        • Communication is interrupted due to a malfunction of the telematics transceiver (data communication module) or any other related device.

        • The location cannot be determined.

        • Communication is interrupted due to a service provider system malfunction.

        • Communication problems occur in the communication network used for the emergency call system.

        • The emergency call service is suspended or halted due to emergency call provider reasons.

        • The user access from their cellular phone to the URL described in the Short Message Service (SMS) delivered by the Operation Reminder Notification. They can perform the action with respect to the operation forget remotely by performing the operation request with selecting the menu.

        • The vehicle sends the result of the operation to the G-BOOK center after the operation is completed. The G-BOOK center delivers the Short Message Service (SMS) described the result of the operation to the support address the user registered and the user can know the result of operation by checking the Short Message Service (SMS).

          Tech Tips

*: Among the items that are described in the Short Message Service (SMS) delivered by the Operation Reminder Notification, the user can operate the only the door lock and hazard warning light. The vehicle receives the operation request checks the condition themselves and operate only when the vehicle is determined that it is safe.

          • The remote operation operates only if the following conditions are confirmed for safety operation.

            • The vehicle is not the operational state (ACC ON or IG ON).

            • In Operation Reminder Notification, the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly is not detected as "in-vehicle".

            • In the vehicle, the operation which is same as the remote operation request, the door lock operation, the closing operation of each door including the back door and the engine hood, IG ON and ACC ON is not operate after the time that requested the remote operation request to the G-BOOK center.

            • The vehicle is not the condition that the requested operation is not performed (door lock and the hazard warning lights off).

            • The doors including the back door and the engine hood close.

            • The previous remote operation is not operating.

          Note

          • Upon the remote operation implementation, the user operates after user checks the vehicle information and judges that the operation implementation has no problem because there is likely to be dangerous when the user performs the operation without knowing the vehicle state. Provide the following information as the auxiliary information for judging the vehicle condition.

            • The latest vehicle stop position (map display, address display) informed by the G-BOOK center.

            • The latest vehicle information informed by the G-BOOK center and its notification date and time.

Returns the door lock state to the original (operation for the purpose of cancellation of the door lock operation). All seats are unlocked.
Returns the hazard warning light off state to the original (operation for the purpose of cancellation of the hazard warning light off operation). Returns the hazard warning light to the blinking state.

            Note

            • Operation to undo is the operation that is to return the recovered security condition by the remote operation to the state before recovery, so the implementation of the operation to undo is restricted and the unnecessary operation is prevented.

              • Remote operation is successful.

              • Within 24 hours of the remote operation success.

              • The operation to undo is not successful after the remote operation success.

              • In the vehicle, the same operation as the request to undo by the remote operation is not done after the remote operation success.

      7. Car Finder

        • When the user parks the vehicle in the large parking lot and doesn't know the parking position, the user makes the hazard warning light blinking for constant time by operating on the web site and support for the discovery of the vehicle.

        • The vehicle sends the result of the operation to the G-BOOK center after blinking start. The G-BOOK center delivers the result of the operation to the support address the user registered by the Short Message Service (SMS) and notifies the result of the operation.

          Note

          • The car finder operates only if the following conditions are confirmed and prevents the unnecessary operation.

            • The vehicle is not the operational state (ACC ON or IG ON).

            • In the vehicle, the operation of the ACC ON, IG ON and hazard warning light doesn't operate after the time that the car finder operation request is send to G-BOOK center.

            • The hazard warning light is off.

          • The car finder automatically turns off the hazard warning light blinking under the following conditions.

            • In case that the hazard warning light has elapsed for one minute from the start of the blinking by car finder operation.

            • When the door unlock operation is carried out.
