AIR CONDITIONING


  1. DESCRIPTION


    1. The automatic air conditioning using multi-zone automatic climate control and neural network control is standard equipment.

    2. A blower customizing control has been adopted for Europe models.

    3. Lexus climate concierge has been adopted, which links the ventilated seat, the heated seat, and the steering heater for controlling the air conditioning system for more comfortability.

    4. A multi-zone automatic climate control independently regulates the outlet air temperatures for the following four zones: the driver seat, the front passenger seat, the right side of the rear No. 1 and No. 2 seats, and the left side of the rear No. 1 and No. 2 seats. This offers comfortable space for all occupants.

    5. For further comfort enhancement for rear passengers, the rear air conditioning unit is provided.

    6. The air conditioning system has the following features:

      High Performance
      • Neural network control is used so passengers can control the air conditioning accurately for maximum comfort.

      • The cooling box is available as an option. The ejector arranged inside the refrigerant pipes is capable of allowing refrigerant to flow to the cooling box without cutting off the refrigerant flow to the air conditioning unit, thereby improving air conditioning performance and ensuring the cooling performance.

      • The sub-cool accelerator system has been provided. This system consists of inner and outer pipes, and is capable of improving the cooling performance because of its effective heat exchanging design.

      • The PTC (Positive Temperature Coefficient) heater system is used. This system contains a PTC heater that heats the air that has passed through the heater radiator to ensure proper heater performance.

      • A pollen removal filter, which removes pollen, is used as the clean air filter.

      • Pollen removal mode control is used to remove pollen in the area around the upper part of the bodies of the driver and front passenger.

      • The blower control has 7 levels in manual mode and 31 levels in auto mode for more precise control.

      • Automatic recirculation control is used to help prevent harmful elements such as CO, HC, and NOx from entering the cabin.

      Lightweight A BUS connector with a built-in IC is used in a lightweight wire harness design with a reduced number of wires. The use of this connector means that pulse pattern type servomotors are used.
      Compact
      • A rotary compact air mix control door requiring less operational space is mounted in the front air conditioning unit.

      • A blower motor with a built-in blower motor controller is used in a compact construction.

      Others
